Yooka-Laylee is the Banjo-Kazooie Successor We’ve Been Waiting For

Banjo-Kazooie fans, rejoice! The game desperately needed a spiritual successor, and now it has one! It has officially been announced by Playtonic Games that the game will be called Yooka-Laylee. Yooka is a lime green chameleon with a bright yellow belly. Laylee is a large-nosed, purple and pink bat.

Steve Mayles, the character artist that worked on both Banjo-Kazooie, also designed the two fun new characters.

The game will be a platform adventure.

At that time, the game has superseded it’s goal over 500% but it’s not to late to get in on the perks. Campaign backers will get the game for £10£15, which is approximately $15-$23 USD. Find out more by visiting the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter campaign here.

Yooka-Laylee will be released on PC originally, but should also eventually be released on Wii U, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
