Will Robin Williams Get His Own Character In The Next Zelda?

Robin Williams Get His Own Character

Nintendo has responded to a fan petition that calls on the company to name a character in the next Legend of Zelda game for Wii U after the late comedian/actor Robin Williams.

Will Robin Williams Get His Own Character In The Next Zelda? A Nintendo spokesperson had this to say to Polygon about that question:

“Robin Williams was loved at Nintendo. Our hearts go out to his entire family, and especially to Zelda Williams who we’ve worked with multiple times. We appreciate the outpouring of support from the gaming community, and hear the request of fans to honor him in a future game. We will not be discussing what might be possible for future games during this difficult time, but we will hold our memories of Robin close.

Zelda and Robin Williams have worked with Nintendo multiple times and it would be a great tribute to have someone who has touched so many lives to live on through an unforgettable game like Zelda. Only time will tell with the next release of the series, but what a brilliant thought.

  1. I love Robin Williams, but including him in games is a bit irrelevant. It would be fun, but I wouldn’t say that they should do it 3:)

  2. Ian Alldridge said it for me I love Robin but he killed himself so I don’t see why everyone is commemorating him like Jesus

  3. The right thing to do? And why is that? Just because he died doesn’t mean Nintendo should be required to put his character or likeness in their games.

  4. Why do people want him in a game? Seriously, just make him in a team with bernie mac, Paul walker, mj and Christopher $#%&!@*in Columbus -____- he died, everyone dies get over it. Why do people want him in a pokemon game and now this, he has nothing major to Do with gaming. Why is this generation stupid honestly

  5. Robin Williams has been as much of an influence on may people’s lives, just like Nintendo has. Robin and Nintendo have collaborated before; he was not only a fan, he was a person who spread much happiness and laughter to much of the world. No, Nintendo is not obligated to do so, but they are considering it, and it would be a great gesture. Did you read the article?

  6. Blah blah blah. You put me to sleep. Yeah, I read it. So what of it? The guy is dead. Stop pretending like you or anyone give a d**n. No one did when he was alive. That’s why he’s dead. I don’t hate him. I hate the likes of you who starts caring all of a sudden when it’s already too late.
