If you’re a Destiny fan, you probably aren’t a fan of how much the downloadable content costs. Players were enraged when they found out that Destiny had already encoded the DLC in the original game, but chose not to include it. This was quickly viewed as a scam from Bungie, and now the company wants to right their wrong.
With the release of the House of Wolves DLC, Bungie announced they would be making the Dark Below Crucible maps free for all Destiny players, even if they did not purchase House of Wolves or Dark Below. The maps include: the Cauldron, Skyshock, and Pantheon. However, that does not mean that you get all of the Dark Below DLC. You only are getting the Crucible maps for free. If you want to purchase the full expansion, you can pay $19.99 for it by itself, or you can take advantage of Bungie’s season pass that has both the House of Wolves and Dark Below for $34.99.
Bungie also stated that Destiny will have some minor changes made to the Crucible, including an increase in loot and rewards for players that place in first.
